Craig Stuart Garfinkle & Eimear Noone
1982 New Trier West High School Recording Jazz Ensemble Alum, Craig Stuart Garfinkle, has announced that his latest film score for the animated feature, The Canterville Ghost, was released, on October 20, 2023, in theaters across the US. The score, co-composed with his wife Eimear Noone, for the animated feature The Canterville Ghost, stars Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. The film will be released, worldwide, just in time for Halloween.
While at New Trier West Craig was a member of the 1980-1982 Recording Jazz Ensembles and in 1980 Toured throughout Greece and Romania. He became a Student Director of the Lab Jazz Ensemble and Recording Jazz Ensemble and in that role earned the respect of his fellow musicians.
In a 2015 interview, Craig was quoted as saying that… “I was so blessed to have gone to New Trier West High School with such an excellent music department”… He continues by giving credit to the Director of the Jazz Studies Program, Roger B. Mills, by saying that “I know that because of what he taught me, I have been able to compete at an international level and succeed. Thanks Roger!”
