David Frohlichstein (1974) Trumpet
Biography

Ed. Note: Dave Frohlichstein was a member of the 1973 and 1974 NTW Recording Jazz Ensembles. During that time he was affectionately referred to as ‘Little Doc,’ a reference to the great Doc Severinsen. A listing of Dave’s career highlights appears at the end.

Education: Northern Illinois University
Undergraduate degree in Education (1978) and Master’s Degree (1979)

Dave Frohlichstein played professional trumpet, in the Chicago area, performing with such luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, Bob Hope, Jay Leno, and many others. In addition he recorded commercials and played first trumpet at Chicago’s Shubert Theater. He ended his full-time music career with the Broadway show Cats; at that time the longest-running musical in Chicago.

He has served as the owner of Frohlichstein Financial Wealth Management since 1986. In 1987, Dave earned the designation of CFP. He has also qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table for more than 20 years, including Court of the Table and Top of the Table qualifications.

Dave is a past President of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council. He is a past President, and has continued to sit on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, DuPage, Illinois. In addition, he currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Saint Charles Chamber of Commerce. He was honored by NAIFA DuPage as the 2010 Hall of Fame Member of the Year.

Dave is dedicated to developing lasting relationships with all his clients. Dave and his wife, Carol, have been married since 1980. They live in St. Charles, IL, and are the parents of three adult children. Dave enjoys playing golf and exercising. He has competed in several triathlons, numerous half marathons and completed 3 Chicago Marathons.
