William Susman
Bill, as we knew him during his high school days, recently received an invitation to address the New Trier High School Association of Retired Personnel.
In early October (2023) Bill did a presentation, weaving his New Trier West Jazz days throughout his 45-year musical career.
His well received presentation, including video, was described by those in attendance, with words such as, absolutely riveting, humorous, deeply personal, historical, and heartwarming.
Bill integrated video including professional performances by alumni from New Trier West’s 16 years of Jazz Ensemble’s, as well as video produced during his internationally acclaimed career. In addition, he did a live piano performance of his composition Quiet Rhythms, Prologue and Action 10.
You can read a transcript of his presentation, complete with included video’s by clicking here. We think you will agree that it will be time worth spent!
Bill is yet another NTW alum who has ‘A STORY THAT NEEDS TO BE TOLD‘
